Instructables.com — bookmark it now

If you haven’t bookmarked instructables.com, go ahead and do so now! Its seriously cool, with instructions on everything from a five-minute DNA extraction in a shot glass, to how to make a steam-powered potato pistol, to how to fold a wallet out of paper.

With categories ranging from Arts & Crafts, Food, Games and Home, to Science, Technology and Sports, you’ll find hours of entertainment (or work avoidance?) in this website. I wish it had been around when I was at school for science project ideas!

Its not all wacky, offbeat ideas (how to create a mad scientist shrink ray took my fancy for a while). On the contrary, some are downright practical and educational, like how to factorise, or how to install a hardwood floor.
