Gay & Lesbian Network supports Bafana Bafana
The Gay & Lesbian Network supports Bafana Bafana during the 2010 FIFA World Cup. As a proud supporter of Bafana Bafana, the Network has designed a banner for messages of support to the team. We will be handing over the messages of support to South African Football Association (SAFA) who will present it to Bafana Bafana.
As an organisation we have taken the initiative to form a women’s football club know as the Pink Mynah’s and are registered members of the SAFA. The Pink Mynah football club is still at the early stages of development and because of this we as a non-profit organisation would like to make an appeal for sponsorship in kind or cash.
Nana Nxumalo the Pink Mynah Football Club coach said that “We are proud to support Bafana Bafana and that Bafana Bafana is an inspiration to us”.
Safe Space Co-ordinator Veron Moodley said that “The aim of the soccer team is to create a safe space as well as to promote the women’s soccer team and develop their skills and passion to play football. The team has played a number of league games.”
Join us and sign the messages of support to Bafana Bafana at our office in 185 Burger Street.
