Celebrating Lifestyle With Mishal Mookrey
The web has revolutionised the way we communicate in a very big way. With the emergence of social networks such as Facebook and Twitter and video sharing sites like YouTube, anyone with internet access has an easy gateway to what is happening around the globe on a large scale or on a personal scale.
Capetonian Mishal Mookrey has taken advantage of our web savvy society by creating a web-based show, The Mishal Mookrey Show. Mishal, a young creative individual, aims to grow as a brand whilst pursuing his passion of being an actor, director and producer. This young man has what it takes to further boost the South African entertainment industry.
This magazine show is aimed at the everyday person and showcases what is available to them on the lifestyle market. With his target market being the working class South African, Mishal is aiming to bring the essence of “realness” and affordability back to lifestyle with his show, making sure the average South African gets to know where (and how) to get the best out of their time and money.
The show has been in existence since April 2010 and has featured radio personality Ayanda Tini, Life Coach Marc Steinberg and The Carpenter’s Shop, a Cape Town organisation that provides day care and rehabilitation for adults who are homeless and destitute. With the show’s expansion to the television screen, Mishal assures it will be bigger and better, touching aspects that enhance not just South African home lifestyles, but community building.
